The Rwanda Zambia Health Research Group (RZHRG) at Emory's Rollins School of Public Health seeks a Director of Programs to oversee the operational and administrative management of a portfolio of NIH- and foundation-funded research studies spanning Rwanda, Zambia, and Atlanta. The Director will serve as a central coordination point across multiple concurrent studies, managing budgets, timelines, regulatory submissions, and cross-site communication with field teams in Kigali and Lusaka. This role requires the ability to manage complexity across international time zones, funding agencies, and institutional partners while supporting a growing and dynamic research program.
The RZHRG is a ~40-year research infrastructure at Emory University with field sites at the Center for Family Health Research in Kigali, Rwanda (CFHR) and the Center for Family Health Research Zambia in Lusaka (CFHRZ). Current studies include NIH-funded projects in postpartum family planning, STI/HIV diagnostics, and domestic STI testing at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. The Director of Programs will work closely with the RZHRG Director, field site leadership, and Emory grants administration to ensure smooth execution across this portfolio. NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
