Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Report to the Project Director identifying actionable recommendations on the best path to success for the LBNF/DUNE Project.
  • Provide additional comments to the Director as deemed appropriate to ensure success of the project.
  • Serve as a member of the Project Advisory Committee at approximately 2 meetings a year.
  • Give expert advice on management and risks to help optimize the project.
  • Craft well written and actionable reports.
Education and Licensure:

Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance if required.
  • Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship.

  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing.

  • Resource must be highly experienced in all aspects of DOE Office of Science project management and execution.
  • 20+ years of related experience in project management and/or capital projects.
  • 15+ years in nuclear and/or DOE related experience.
  • Prior experience supporting Office of Science related capital projects.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications and Location Details

  • Period of Performance – October 1st, 2026 through September 30th, 2028
  • Total effort for this period will not exceed 160 hours
  • Travel between Fermilab and Lead, SD site if required but remote based position.  
  • Prior experience as Federal Project Director.
