Blackbaud Pacific (BBP) is part of Blackbaud’s International Markets Group (IMG) serving Australia, New Zealand and Asia markets.

What You’ll Do

A career in Professional Services with Blackbaud allows you to leverage your not-for-profit industry expertise and Blackbaud product knowledge to work directly with our customers to deliver value and outstanding outcomes. Teams within Professional Services manage a customer’s transition from the sales process through to the implementation of one of Blackbaud’s products or the delivery of another consulting engagement. We’re our customers’ trusted advisor who listens, understands where they want to go, and helps them get there as quickly and effectively as possible.

As a Fundraising Consultant, you should be passionate making a direct and lasting impact on the success of the world's leading not-for-profits and viewed as a product expert and trusted partner by our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Investigating and acting on customer needs, giving priority to customer concerns and building positive, fruitful customer relationships whilst proactively identifying and raising concerns about risks where appropriate.
  • Delivering business-as-usual, mentoring and resource replacement-type activities as part of Managed Services engagements with customers.
  • Delivering comprehensive training to Blackbaud customers with audiences ranging from front line staff to top level executives
  • Contributing to our pre-sales process, by supporting our Solutions Engineer with product demonstrations, responding to RFPs and participating in scoping calls.
  • Collaborating with other teams to provide insights on best practice approaches and thought leadership, pulling from your experience in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Actively promoting the services and software offered by Blackbaud as an ambassador for the business.

Note: The Blackbaud Pacific Services Team supports Raiser’s Edge NXT, Blackbaud CRM and Blackbaud Award Management systems; in this role you may be called on to assist with consulting and implementation activities across different CRM products depending on the business need.

Experience & Skills

To be successful in this role, applicants must:

  • Experience using one or more of Blackbaud’s Fundraising CRM systems (i.e. Raiser’s Edge NXT, Blackbaud CRM or eTapestry).
  • Have strong Database Administrator/CRM system skills and experience
  • Love engaging with and satisfying customer needs.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, having the confidence to lead conversations with a wide variety of people both in person and virtually.
  • Be self-motivated, reliable and can competently manage a workload containing multiple projects and customers at the same time.
  • Outstanding written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Be open to working across platforms and have a desire to learn and grow.
  • Ability to work independently from home.  Note: Some interstate and international travel may be required in this role.

Desirable:

  • Fundraising and/or not for profit industry experience.
  • Prior experience delivering consulting services and meeting utilisation targets 

Blackbaud is a ‘Remote First’ organisation and this role will be delivered remotely. Customer ‘on-site’ visits will be a requirement of the role and thus your residence in Australia or New Zealand is required.   

Working hours will be based on the Australian Eastern time zones (AEST and AEDT), depending on your location negotiation may be available. Public holidays will apply to your home location.
