About the Role


We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Field Service Technician to join our elite Technical Service team. In this role, you will be the face of our brands on the frontline, responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex industrial food processing machinery at customer facilities. If you are a skilled electro-mechanical troubleshooter who enjoys traveling, solving real-world technical puzzles, and delivering top-tier customer service, we want you on our team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Travel extensively to customer facilities to lead the installation, commissioning, repair, and modification of automated food processing equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, PLC, and control panel issues efficiently.
  • Perform comprehensive preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and operational uptime.
  • Train customer operations and maintenance teams on equipment functionality, safety protocols, and mechanical best practices.
  • Provide real-time technical support and troubleshooting guidance both on-site and remotely via phone or digital communication.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to help customers optimize their production lines.
  • Complete detailed, accurate service reports and document technical findings, root causes, and parts used.
  • Effectively manage your assigned tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory.
  • Adhere strictly to all company and customer safety procedures (Lockout/Tagout, OSHA compliance) to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Support urgent customer situations and after-hours service needs as required to ensure critical production continuity.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of field service experience, preferably within the meat processing or food processing industry
  • Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and repair techniques
  • Familiarity with PLC systems and control panels
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and electrical diagrams
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while traveling and working on-site
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional short-notice and after-hours support
  • Valid driver’s license required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience servicing industrial food processing or packaging equipment
  • Bilingual Spanish proficiency preferred
Salary Description
$75k - 100k base, plus bonus and incentive pay
