About the job
  
Goods & Services is looking for a Senior SDET who contributes to the creation and maintenance of the development program’s test automation strategy and has direct oversight and responsibility for the test automation team’s ability to successfully execute. The individual will also perform test activities and may also be responsible for building testing tools to verify systems. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of leadership and of being a collaborative team player who has experience working with both local and co-located cross-functional teams.

What you’ll do:

• Design and execute comprehensive test strategies covering test cases, test scenarios, automation, and code coverage to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Research, evaluate, and develop testing tools, frameworks, and automation solutions, providing thoughtful recommendations based on technical and business requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for web applications, APIs, and web services using Playwright, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Perform API testing using Postman and validate application behavior across HTTP, HTML, DOM, XML, and JavaScript-based technologies.
• Design object-oriented test software and reusable automation components following established software engineering and coding best practices.
• Develop design artifacts, technical documentation, and diagrams to communicate test architecture, frameworks, and automation solutions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD test automation pipelines using GitHub Actions to support continuous testing and reliable software delivery.
• Collaborate closely with Developers, DevOps Engineers, and QA teams to improve application testability, scalability, and overall quality.
• Participate in code reviews and promote coding standards, maintainability, reusability, and quality across automation projects.
• Work independently with minimal managerial direction, taking ownership of testing initiatives and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Quickly develop a strong understanding of the product domain and apply that knowledge to create effective, risk-based testing strategies.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or an engineering discipline.
• 5 years of recent software development experience.
• Experience in Desing and creation of automation framework.
• Experience with Page Object Model.
• Expertise in the creation of test scenarios for all levels (system, sub-system, product and feature).
• Proficiency in coding and debugging in at least one modern programming language (TypeScript and JavaScript) using Playwright.
• Deep understanding of API testing with Postman.
• Experience with Cloud native (AWS preferred).
• Experience using user stories and providing estimates within Agile environment.
• Understands Object-Oriented Software Design and Principles.
• Understands Test Design and Test Life Cycle.
• Experience in deployment for CI/CD using Jenkins or any other CI tool.

Nice to have:

• Experience with React.
• Experience with Jest and Selenium.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Create and maintain shared libraries, tools, and frameworks to increase team productivity.
• Understanding SQL and develops complex queries.
