Job description

What We Do

At Leading Educators (LE), we know that excellent teaching is the most important driver of student success. The moment a student steps foot in the classroom, their opportunity to learn depends on how prepared their teacher is to translate complex content knowledge, standards, and their knowledge of that student into lessons that help them learn deeply and apply their thinking to the real world.

That’s a big lift, and it often happens alone. As a national nonprofit, we partner with school systems to overcome persistent instructional challenges, foster intentional collaboration and adult learning by design, and ignite new possibilities through systemic solutions at the intersection of teaching, talent, and technology.

We work shoulder-to-shoulder with educators at every level of the education system to strengthen their instructional and leadership practices, bring a vision for excellent instruction to life with consistency, and ensure every student reaches their full potential.

Through direct support, strategic advising, innovation pilots, and best-in-class research, we help educators work toward a future where every student is ready to thrive. Learn more about our work at leadingeducators.org.

Internal & External Candidate Application Deadline: 8/21/2026

Position

Imagine a role where precision, speed, and flawless execution directly power an organization's ability to build world-class teams. As Associate Director of Talent Acquisition Operations at Leading Educators, you'll be the operational backbone of our recruiting function—the person who ensures that every hiring process moves seamlessly from launch through offer acceptance. This isn't a behind-the-scenes administrative role; it's a strategic execution position that sits at the center of how we attract and onboard the talent that transforms education.

At Leading Educators, we partner with school systems to strengthen teaching and leadership practices, and every great partnership starts with great people. You'll manage the day-to-day mechanics that make recruiting flow: scheduling complex interviews across time zones, maintaining pristine documentation in our ATS, ensuring pre-hire compliance is flawless, and coordinating contractor logistics. You'll track dozens of moving pieces simultaneously, identify bottlenecks before they become problems, and maintain the kind of consistency that keeps candidates and hiring managers confident in our process.

This role demands someone who thrives in high-volume, high-precision environments—someone who sees operational excellence not as a nice-to-have but as a competitive advantage. You'll champion process improvements, leverage AI and technology to reduce manual work, and continuously innovate how we execute recruiting workflows. If you're energized by owning complex systems, delivering results with accuracy, and making a tangible impact on organizational success, this is your opportunity.

Do you have expertise in…

  • Designing and optimizing talent acquisition workflows and systems that enable organizations to scale recruiting and hiring operations while maintaining speed, quality, and candidate experience
  • Leading process improvement initiatives within talent acquisition that identify hiring bottlenecks, standardize recruiting practices, and implement solutions that reduce time-to-hire across multiple concurrent searches
  • Leveraging data, analytics, and recruiting dashboards to surface talent acquisition insights, track hiring KPIs, and inform strategic staffing and workforce planning decisions at the leadership level
  • Integrating emerging technologies and AI tools into talent acquisition operations to drive recruitment efficiency, automate manual workflows, and create competitive advantages in attracting and onboarding talent

Do you enjoy…

  • Thriving in fast-paced, high-volume environments where you manage dozens of moving pieces simultaneously and take pride in flawless execution under pressure
  • Solving complex operational puzzles—identifying patterns, anticipating bottlenecks, and orchestrating seamless coordination across multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Mastering intricate systems and processes, where precision and attention to detail directly impact candidate experience and organizational success
  • Building and refining operational excellence—continuously innovating workflows, standardizing best practices, and transforming chaos into elegant, scalable systems

If you've answered affirmatively to these questions and meet the following prerequisites, we urge you to seize this opportunity. This role calls for the following:

  • 5–7+ years of experience in HR operations, talent operations, workforce planning, or program operations roles managing complex operational systems

Start Dates Choices: September 16 or October 1st.

  • Strong experience building operational dashboards, reports, or tracking systems that support leadership decision-making
  • Demonstrated proficiency with applicant tracking systems and experience configuring workflows, stages, templates, and documentation standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present operational data and insights clearly to leadership
  • Experience using AI and technology tools to improve operational workflows and internal process efficiency
  • Ability to travel moderately, including national travel for organizational retreats, programming, and professional development
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the United States
