This role helps keep day-to-day HR operations running smoothly by maintaining accurate records, coordinating recruiting and onboarding tasks, supporting benefits and employee programs, and responding to team member needs with care and confidentiality.

We are looking for someone who enjoys organized follow-through, communicates clearly, and is comfortable supporting a busy, people-centered department in a fully remote environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow their HR knowledge while helping create a responsive and thoughtful team member experience.

Successful Candidates:

  • Is highly organized, able to manage recurring administrative tasks, and comfortable tracking details across multiple systems and processes.
  • Communicates with warmth, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Can adapt to process updates, shifting priorities, and occasional short-notice requests while keeping work moving forward.
  • Enjoys supporting team members, managers, and colleagues by being helpful, approachable, and solutions oriented.
  • Is receptive to feedback, willing to learn, and interested in continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate HR records, team member files, and documentation in BambooHR and other HR systems.
  • Support recruiting activities, including applicant sourcing for hiring manager review, interview coordination, candidate communication, and applicant tracking updates.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including document collection, task tracking, system updates, and coordination with new team members and managers.
  • Provide timely, helpful responses to routine team member questions and route more complex questions to the appropriate HR team member when needed.
  • Support benefits administration by helping with enrollment documentation, team member questions, records updates, and related follow-up.
  • Assist with payroll-related administrative tasks, including reviewing and organizing HR information needed for the semi-monthly payroll process.
  • Coordinate team member recognition gifts and related HR programs, including anniversaries and Get Out and Play recognition.
  • Help maintain and update HR documents, including personnel change notices, and other team member administrative documents.
  • Assist with HR reporting, special projects, and other related duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

The position requires high customer satisfaction and going out of the way to be helpful, respectful, approachable, and team-oriented while building strong and positive working relationships. Candidates must be receptive to feedback, willing to learn, and comfortable supporting work that requires confidentiality, accuracy, and follow-through. Additional qualifications include:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions, adapt to changes in workload, and respond quickly to short-notice requests.
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned work, follow through on expectations, and ask thoughtful questions when clarification is needed.
  • Comfort working independently in a virtual environment while staying available, responsive, and connected to the team.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software programs, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Adobe Acrobat experience is helpful.
  • Ability to use HR systems, databases, spreadsheets, and tracking tools for accurate data entry, reporting, and recordkeeping.
  • Proficiency in the use of general office equipment and basic math.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of four years of progressively responsible administrative, office support, human resources, or operations support experience.
  • Experience supporting multiple business functions while maintaining a high degree of organization, accuracy, and responsiveness.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms, applicant tracking systems, benefits administration, onboarding, records management, or other HR support functions preferred but not required.
