Overview:

Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLP is a San Francisco Bay Area based CPA and consulting firm with offices in Palo Alto, San Jose, San Francisco, St. Helena and San Diego. We provide a diverse array of accounting and financial services to serve the needs of Silicon Valley's high net worth individuals and the businesses they create and control. Our clients range from America's top entrepreneurs to technology based start-ups to famous Napa wineries.

We are currently seeking a Benefits Manager to assist with the administration of all benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability and wellness plans. As part of the HR team, you will partner closely with our HR Director to manage the benefits and wellness plans within the Firm.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as primary contact for employees, respond to benefits inquiries on plan provisions, enrollment, status changes and other general inquiries
  • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers including carriers and third party administrators
  • Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities. Partner with leave administrators to process employee LOA’s
  • Administer the firm’s workers compensation program and process ergonomic requests
  • Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information
  • Process life events within the HRIS
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required billing reconciliation, reporting and fees
  • Develop communication tools to enhance the understanding of the firm’s benefits package
  • Oversee maintenance of employee benefits, maintain HRIS and update employee payroll records as needed
  • Assist with orientations and open enrollment by designing, presenting and distributing materials to stakeholders
  • Partner with payroll team to perform quality checks of benefits-related data
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations concerning benefits administration, including compliance reporting for carriers
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to align benefits programs with organizational goals and employee needs
  • Conduct regular audits of benefits plans to ensure accuracy and effectiveness
  • Other tasks or duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration or a related area
  • Experience in UKG required
  • Experience with Cocoon or another external leave administrator preferred
  • Strong knowledge of benefits regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, and ACA
  • Experience with open enrollment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in HRIS and benefits management software
  • Ability to be flexible and change direction quickly

The expected salary range for this position is $130,000 - $140,000 per year. Actual placement within this range is determined by the candidate’s experience, qualifications, education, and geographic area.
