This role will serve as the voice of Operations and will be actively involved in Dexcom’s enterprise software system projects; primarily those related to the Manufacturing Execution System (Siemens OpCenter/Camstar MES/Mendix)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Manufacturing Operations, Quality, and IT to identify, analyze, and implement business system solutions that support manufacturing objectives and operational excellence.

  • Serve as a functional subject matter expert for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), including Siemens Opcenter/Camstar, providing guidance on system capabilities, process design, and best practices across manufacturing operations.

  • Lead complex requirements gathering workshops and business process discovery sessions, translating business needs into detailed functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution designs.

  • Analyze end-to-end manufacturing processes and system interactions to identify opportunities for process standardization, automation, scalability, compliance, and operational efficiency.

  • Design and review MES configurations, workflows, data collection strategies, and system enhancements to support new business capabilities and evolving manufacturing requirements.

  • Lead medium to large-scale manufacturing systems projects and enhancements, coordinating activities across business stakeholders, developers, validation teams, and IT partners to ensure successful delivery.

  • Anticipate business and system risks, proactively identify potential issues, and drive mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and integration testing efforts, including test strategy development, test case review, defect triage, execution coordination, and release readiness activities.

  • Establish and promote business systems best practices, standards, and governance processes to improve solution quality, consistency, and maintainability.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), preferably Siemens Opcenter / Camstar, including exposure to system modeling concepts.

  • Demonstrated ability to gather and document business requirements and translate them into functional system documentation.

  • Experience creating process maps, flowcharts, and basic system interaction diagrams.

  • Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting or working with low-code platforms, preferably Mendix, in an enterprise or manufacturing environment.

  • Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., medical device, biotech, or regulated manufacturing).

Travel Required:

  • Up to 25%

Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
