The Role

The Director, Workforce Governance and Strategy is responsible for advancing enterprise workforce governance and planning capabilities that support Fidelity's long-term business strategy. Reporting to the VP, Workforce Governance and Reporting, this role partners with senior leaders across the organization to drive workforce planning, forecasting, reporting, and governance activities. The successful candidate will leverage data, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to support strategic workforce decisions and ensure alignment between business priorities and workforce investments

We are looking for a proven leader with a strategic approach and outstanding project management skills. The ideal candidate will have: 

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Management, or a related area.
  • 10 plus years of experience in workforce strategy, workforce governance, business operations, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including workforce forecasting, scenario planning, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Deep understanding of workforce strategy and the ability to translate data and insights into business recommendations.
  • Proven experience developing and executing strategic initiatives at enterprise scale within large, complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, including Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Legal, Finance, and Analytics teams.
  • Demonstrated success navigating ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify risks, solve complex problems, and develop scalable solutions.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset, with a track record of generating insights that drive organizational impact.

The Team 

This dynamic team is part of the Enterprise HR function within Corporate Services and is responsible for developing and driving forward a strategic, forward-thinking approach to reshape our workforce strategy as we look toward the future. The team partners with a wide range of stakeholders spanning executive leadership and business and technology leaders across the firm. 

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
