Ciklum is looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role:
As a Senior Automation QA Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.
Responsibilities:
- Lead manual and end-to-end automation testing for enterprise-scale transactional applications to ensure scalability, reliability, and release readiness
- Develop, maintain, and execute robust UI and API test automation frameworks using Selenium/Playwright/Cypress or similar tools
- Integrate automated regression and functional test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and delivery
- Validate REST APIs, complex integrations, and backend data flows across systems to ensure reliable data processing
- Partner closely with engineering, product, and business teams to troubleshoot defects, manage risks, and participate in release validation
- Guide and mentor team members on automation best practices, process enhancements, and framework improvements
Requirements:
- 5+ years of QA Engineering experience with a strong background in both manual testing and automation for high-volume, transactional systems
- Deep understanding of payment systems—including transaction lifecycles, payment gateways, routing, authorizations, refunds, chargebacks, settlement, and reconciliation
- Hands-on experience with UI automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress with C#)
- Hands-on API testing expertise using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools
- Experience building automated regression suites (e.g., validating parity between legacy and core payment gateways) and conducting performance/reliability testing for payment flows
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments, using tools like Jira and Confluence to support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and UAT
- Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher written and spoken English, with strong collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desirable:
- Experience with Power Automate, Python, PowerShell, or C# for operational workflow automation
