Job description

Where: Miami · Austin · Dallas · Los Angeles · Athens · Tuscaloosa ·
When: Late August – mid December 2026, roughly 4 hours per week
Apply by: August 27, 2026

The role

Pickle is a peer-to-peer fashion marketplace where people rent, buy, lend, and sell from each other's real closets — over 500,000 items nationwide. We're hiring one Content Creator Intern per campus for the full fall semester to be our camera on the ground.

You'll shoot across everything we do on your campus over the semester: brand partnership popups, recruitment and rush season, gameday weekends, formals and date parties, homecoming, and the always-on closet content that makes the app feel local. Some weeks are event-driven and intense, others are you and your friends filming fits between classes, and then some are you on the street / on campus interviewing students.

This is a production role, not an influencer role. You do not need a following.

To apply

Please include the following:

  • Links to two or three vertical videos you shot and edited yourself - examples of you in front of the camera and behind

  • Your availability (days and hours)

  • Two content ideas on what you'd film on your campus to get people interested in signing up and/or renting on Pickle.

Compensation

$200 in a monthly cash stipend & $200 in Pickle credits per month

What you'll deliver

  • 4x edited vertical videos per month

    • Content briefed by the Pickle team (and ideas from you are welcome too!)

  • Instagram Story content

    • All footage uploaded to our shared drive as it happens for quick Story posting by the Pickle team

  • 5-10 photos per month for emails and social media posts

    • Delivered in vertical and horizontal crops

Who you are

A current student, 18 or older, who already makes engaging vertical videos, captured with just your iPhone (and owning microphones is even better). You edit your own work, you hit deadlines without being chased, and you're comfortable walking up to a stranger and getting a good fit check out of them in under a minute. That last part is the hardest and most important skill in this job!

Necessary Skills

  • Comfortable on both sides of the camera — talks to camera naturally, and can walk up to someone you've never met and get them on camera warmly

  • A good eye, in real conditions — strong instincts for framing, lighting, and audio, enough to make a dim sorority house or a crowded tent look great

  • Editing in CapCut and/or Edits, with a feel for the platform — fluent in what's working on TikTok and Reels right now, from trending sounds and formats to captions and first-three-second hooks that stop a scroll

  • Fast turnaround — can shoot, edit, and deliver a finished vertical video within the same day

  • Self-directed and reliable — takes a brief and runs with it, improvises when the plan changes day-of, keeps files organized and named, and answers texts on shoot days

Being plugged into your campus socially — Greek life, athletics, the group chats — is a real advantage, because knowing who to point the camera at is half the work.

Benefits

  • Real ownership at a fast-growing startup

  • Direct access to the Pickle team

  • Pickle credits to use + share

  • Creative freedom to shape Pickle on your campus

  • Experience across marketing & content

  • Access to product drops, activations, and community moments
