Job description

WELCOME!

We are looking for a creative, analytical, and commercially minded Growth Marketing Specialist to join our team in the fast-moving world of wholesale flowers.

The ideal candidate is passionate about digital marketing, customer acquisition, and data-driven growth. This role involves developing and executing marketing campaigns, improving customer engagement, supporting sales growth, and identifying new opportunities across digital channels. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to strengthen our brand and expand our customer base.

Who We Are

We are a US-based national distribution business supplying compliant hemp products and vaporization hardware to independent retailers across the United States — smoke shops, specialty CBD stores, and convenience channels — with licensed partners internationally. The company runs a lean, modern operation: just-in-time supply chain, US finished-goods manufacturing partners, third-party logistics (3PL) fulfillment, overseas component suppliers, and a small senior team that uses AI aggressively to work like a team many times its size. This role is a full-time, remote position based in South Africa, employed through an employer-of-record arrangement, working closely with the US leadership team.

Job Description

You will market our brands online and help them grow — social media first, with email, digital, content, and partnerships close behind. Beyond running channels, you'll build the automated content foundation this company runs on: templates, brand assets, and brand guidelines set up so that content development runs on rails, working alongside the US brand team. And you'll help manage our partnerships — making sure brand collaborations, distribution partnerships, and retailer partnerships all get the content and creative they need. We want someone whose first instinct for any repetitive task is to automate it with AI, and who is innovative with the look and feel — content that genuinely pops, not templated sameness. One person, force-multiplied like an entire team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the social media calendar and execution with a viral-first approach to brand awareness.

  • Help manage partnerships: coordinate content and creative development for brand collaborations, distribution partnerships, and retailer partnerships.

  • Build and maintain the automated content foundation — templates, brand assets, and brand guidelines that let content development scale on autopilot — in coordination with the US brand team.

  • Run email marketing: campaigns, flows, and list growth.

  • Develop content directly and coordinate asset requests with the US creative team — and push the look and feel to make it pop.

  • Support sales with the marketing materials the retail channel needs — launch assets, promos, sell-through support.

  • Support online stores and all digital marketing efforts across available channels.

  • Automate marketing operations with AI: content pipelines, scheduling, reporting, repurposing.

Requirements

  • Based in South Africa.

  • 2-3 years of proven experience marketing a brand online — you've grown brand awareness through social media and can show it.

  • An AI-first mindset: automation through AI is your default approach to any problem — and you can point to real examples.

  • Experience building reusable content systems: templates, brand asset libraries, or brand guidelines that others create from.

  • Email marketing and broader digital marketing execution skills.

  • Creative production skills (Canva, Adobe, or equivalent) with a strong eye — innovative look and feel, not templated sameness.

  • Strong coordination and communication skills for managing partner deliverables.

  • Excellent written English for US consumer and retail audiences; reliable availability during US East Coast hours.

Bonus Points
  • Partnership, collaboration, or influencer marketing experience.

  • B2B or trade-channel marketing for retail or distribution.

  • CPG or regulated-category experience; e-commerce store operations (Shopify or similar).

  • Short-form video creation and editing.

Details

  • Fully Remote | Based in South Africa

  • Salary: $1800-$2200 monthly, based on experience

  • Schedule: US East Coast business hours

Benefits of Joining Our Team

  • Opportunities for professional growth and career development.

  • Collaborative and supportive working environment.

  • Ongoing training and professional development.

  • Opportunity to contribute to the growth of a leading wholesale flower and distribution business.

  • Exposure to a diverse range of marketing channels, customers and commercial projects.
