Job description

Responsabilities
  • Analyze telecommunications solutions proposed by different teams, including technologies such as MPLS, SD-WAN, P2P, EVPN, routing protocols and Internet elements.
  • Identify flaws in proposed solutions and recommend improvements.
  • Identify technical risks, solutions and workarounds needed to meet or exceed customer expectations before and during implementation.
  • Communicate with Project Managers and customers as the technical specialist during implementation activities.
  • Define technical configurations that meet project scope, customer requirements and internal implementation standards.
  • Identify equipment operating software, firmware requirements and required licenses.
  • Follow and, when required, define methods of procedure and required resources to conduct implementation activities.
  • Coordinate interactions among different systems, engineering teams and stakeholders across several countries.
  • Attend testing and implementation calls and online meetings.
  • Configure and operate monitoring systems as needed for implementation support.
  • Adhere to customer schedules, mostly in Latin America, and support flexible working hours when required, including holidays, weekends, nights and early mornings.
  • Position as a technical specialist to troubleshoot issues that arise during implementation.
  • Ensure the final technical solution is delivered according to project scope and internal standards.
  • Support customer acceptance of the implemented technical solution.
  • Use IT tools to document project requirements, changes and final technical solutions.
  • Prepare special technical reports in standard and non-standard formats.
  • Document technical information required for clean implementation and transition to maintenance teams in different countries.
  • Discuss technical issues, solutions and workarounds with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex technical matters clearly to audiences with different backgrounds and responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with applicable policies and standards.

This position may be performed remotely from any of the following countries: Colombia, Mexico and Peru.
