Job Title: HR Generalist

Base location: Stockholm, Sweden. We can offer a hybrid approach to office and remote working. We would expect 4 days per week as the standard days on Thales site.

The position requires that you undergo and be approved in accordance with the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Thales has requirements for security clearance, this may entail a requirement for local citizenship.

Position Summary

The HR Generalist supports and collaborates with both the local and central HR teams. You will be the first point of HR contact for production employees and also support other departments as needed. This is a broad HR role where you work closely with the business to drive recruiting, employee lifecycle processes, HR administration and HR initiatives that strengthen the organization’s culture.

Key Responsibilities / Main Duties

  • Support managers across the entire employee lifecycle—from employer branding, recruitment, onboarding to offboarding.

  • Independently lead recruitment processes from identified hiring needs through to hiring decisions.

  • Handle HR cases and provide professional support with a high service level for both managers and employees, with a focus on the production area.

  • Perform daily HR administration and ongoing operational HR tasks.

  • Collaborate with trade union organizations.

  • Act as a Workday “super user” / administrator, supporting the HR system and related processes.

  • Work with HR security processes and related requirements.

  • Coordinate Health & Safety (HSE) activities, including annual inspections.

  • Support work environment topics, including rehabilitation and occupational health care coordination.

  • Assist HR colleagues with prioritized activities and operational work.

  • Help develop and improve routines, processes, and working methods.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources or equivalent university education.

  • 2–3+ years of experience in a broad HR role, including independent support to managers.

  • Proven experience in recruitment.

  • Very good written and spoken Swedish and English.

  • Experience with HR administration.

  • Good knowledge of labor law.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Office package).

  • Swedish citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Workday.

  • Experience working in a production environment.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both managers, employees, and external stakeholders.

  • Organized and able to manage both operational tasks and HR projects.
