About the Position

Compass Palliative is seeking a qualified California-licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide Telemedicine Pain Management services to patients throughout California.

This role focuses specifically on pain assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and medication management, including the prescribing and management of pain medications for patients with acute and chronic pain.

Position Highlights

Responsibilities

  • Conduct telemedicine evaluations and assessments of patients with acute and chronic pain.
  • Prescribe, manage, and refill pain medications as clinically appropriate and within applicable regulations.
  • Develop and adjust individualized pain management and medication treatment plans based on patient response.
  • Monitor medication effectiveness, adherence, side effects, and potential risks.
  • Document assessments, diagnoses, prescriptions, treatment plans, and follow-up care; collaborate with physicians as needed.

  • Experience in pain management and/or prescribing pain medications preferred
  • Experience managing acute or chronic pain patients preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills
  • Comfortable providing patient care through telemedicine
