Status: Permanent Full-Time

Location: Remote; Work from Home, Quebec

Like Lifemark, you believe in the power of work to transform lives. As a Job Developer, you will be part of a team that provides a wide range of rehabilitation services to Canadian Armed Forces Veterans and their families.

Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS) provides comprehensive rehabilitation-focused assessment and intervention services to Canadian Veterans who face barriers in transitioning to life after service due to service-related injuries or illnesses. Using a biopsychosocial approach, assessment and intervention services are delivered by an interdisciplinary team of experienced clinicians specializing in the management of complex conditions such as chronic pain, persistent symptoms following traumatic brain injury, and musculoskeletal injuries, often accompanied by comorbid mental health conditions and psychosocial barriers to recovery.

As an expert in regional labour market trends, you play an important role at both the individual and community levels by ensuring that Veterans achieve their employment goals and receive the best possible support.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and establish collaborative relationships with employers and community organizations to create a strong network of placement opportunities that support participant outcomes and experiences.
  • Collaborate with members of the Job Development team across all regions to create and maintain national and multi-regional employer relationships.
  • Monitor participants’ job searches and provide advice, guidance, and support to help resolve or prevent issues that may arise during the job search process.
  • Participate in employer forums to promote the benefits of hiring Veterans and partnering with PCVRS.
  • Identify key employment trends and match participants with suitable employment opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the job development process.
  • Identify innovations that can improve the participant experience and/or outcomes related to the job development process.

Qualifications

  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or Human Resources.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience, or a combination thereof, including one or more of the following:
    1. Experience in job development, employment counselling, or customized employment.
    2. Experience working with individuals with complex musculoskeletal and mental health conditions.
    3. Experience working with employers, employment resources, and facilitating job placements.
    4. Experience working with individuals living with mental or physical health conditions that create barriers to civilian life.
  • Strong knowledge of labour markets within the assigned region.
  • Excellent digital literacy, including case management systems, MS Office, MS Teams, SharePoint, the Internet, social media, and LinkedIn.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish new relationships, build trust, and engage diverse stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Ability to work outside PCVRS operating hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) as required to support communication between employers and participants.
  • Valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, and ability to travel.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is a strong asset.
  • Employment is conditional upon obtaining Federal Reliability Status security clearance.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary.
