The VP will oversee financial strategy for CDW’s broad portfolio of solutions—including AI & Data, Digital Enablement, Workplace Modernization, Security & Compliance, and Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure—and services such as Advisory, Professional, Managed, Infrastructure, Renewals & Warranties, eProcurement, and Talent Orchestration. The VP will lead and develop a team of finance professionals to deliver business results as CDW unites its technology services, solutions, product, and partner management organizations into a single, customer-focused engine to drive growth and innovation. Additionally, the VP will coordinate financial integration of functional cost centers reporting to the CSSO across strategy, digital, and technology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the finance business partner to the Services and Solutions executive team, providing insights and recommendations driving business strategies, growth and operational excellence.
Strategic Financial Leadership & Business Partnership with Solutions and Services
- Provide strategic finance, forecast, expense and planning analysis and recommendations to the CSSO — from vision to translating financial insights and opportunities into growth and margin decisions
- Drive long-range strategic planning across the full suite of CDW services and solutions including Cloud, Infrastructure, Security, and Digital Transformation businesses
- Partner on pricing, mix, and portfolio strategy for managed and professional services.
- Model new commercial constructs (e.g., consumption-based, subscription, or hybrid contracts) to guide GTM strategy and investor narrative
- Monitor industry trends and market dynamics to identify opportunities and potential risks
Revenue Forecasting, ARR / Retention Modeling, and Growth Analytics
- Take a hands-on approach leading forecasting and scenario modeling for recurring and project-based revenues across geographies and customer tiers
- Develop and refine ARR, renewal, and retention models to track churn, upsell, and expansion economics
- Build bookings-to-billings-to-revenue bridges for cloud and services portfolios
- Partner with Sales Ops to align pipeline metrics with forward-looking financial targets
Utilization, Delivery Economics & Cost-to-Serve Analytics
- Design and maintain utilization and productivity models across global delivery teams, including billable mix and rate realization
- Track and improve cost-to-serve metrics (labor efficiency, partner spend, automation leverage, delivery cost/unit)
- Benchmark margins by service type (managed, consulting, support, SaaS) to drive accountability and optimization
- Identify automation and AI-enabled efficiency opportunities in service delivery and support operations
Planning, Forecasting and Management Reporting
- Oversee the annual operating plans, budgets, rolling forecasts, and quarterly business reviews for all business units
- Ensure consistency across revenue, headcount, and expense planning models with clear variance explanations
- Produce KPI dashboards and executive narratives connecting business performance to strategic priorities (growth, retention, cash flow)
- Integrate leading indicators from CRM and delivery systems (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow) into forecast accuracy models
- Streamline planning and reporting processes across teams
- Champion the adoption of advanced data visualization and analytics to communicate complex financial insights
- Build data integrity and single-source-of-truth governance across core systems
- Champion a digital FP&A ecosystem using CDW tools and AI-driven analytics for predictive forecasting
Investment Governance, Resource Allocation & ROI Management
- Lead capital allocation and ROI analyses for strategic initiatives (AI services, digital platforms, geo expansion)
- Drive disciplined evaluation of R&D and go-to-market investments, tracking payback, lifetime value, and margin impact
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial goals with overall business objectives and broader CDW goals
Talent Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead the FP&A organization that supports the CSSO businesses
- Foster a culture of insight generation, continuous improvement, business partnership, innovation, and accountability
- Upskill the team in advanced analytics, cloud unit economics, and scenario modeling
- Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and ensure professional growth opportunities for team members
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS/CHARACTERISTICS:
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on builder and leader with a high level of immersion in the business, bringing an entrepreneurial and outcome-driven and team-oriented leadership approach. The VP will be a collaborative, cross functional partner with a highly responsive, quick-acting, roll-up sleeves, engaging style with demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis, investment optionality, budgeting and forecasting.
Core Baseline Requirements
- Understanding of CDW’s business and working domain knowledge of the technology ecosystem including services, SaaS solutions, and/or cloud value chains
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and 15 years of progressive finance experience, including 10+ years in leadership roles or
- MBA in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and 13 years of progressive finance experience, including 8+ years in leadership roles.
- Experience within a Technology organization, including exposure to IT Services, and solutions in high growth areas including Cloud, Data/AI, Security
- Demonstrated experience supporting complex organizations
- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data to drive business strategies, with expertise in data visualization tools and techniques
- Superior proficiency in advanced financial modeling and in using financial software and tools (e.g., regression and real options approach to project modeling)
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in a fast-paced environment
- Strong business acumen, strategic mindset, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with experience engaging C-suite and board-level stakeholders
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
Deep Technology Services and Solutions Finance Operations Expertise
- Ability to garner exceptional trust and respect as a financial business partner to the services and solutions organization and CSSO leadership
- Exceptional analytical, financial data, modeling, forecasting, solutioning, and reporting capabilities related to technology services and solutions
- Experience leading and influencing investment decisions and financial plans that drive revenue growth and improved profitability
- Knowledge/understanding of applied Corporate Finance Theory (e.g., capital allocation, risk-weighting of projects/ cash flows, and cost of capital) as it relates to technology services and solutions

Pay range: $ 225,000 - $ 275,000 depending on experience and skill set
