The Opportunity
Eventus is looking for a bright, ambitious surveillance expert based in North America to lead product management for our Validus platform. In this role, you'll oversee Eventus' strategic product direction — vision, innovation, design, development, and management — for Validus. You'll integrate client feedback, market intelligence, and deep technical understanding into a long-term product vision, and ensure that short-term deliverables stay grounded in that vision. Success in this role calls for broad technical expertise, cross-industry business acumen, working knowledge of financial markets, and a deep commitment to client success.
Role & Responsibilities
- Partner with Eventus customers, partners, and internal teams to develop and execute product strategy and roadmap, aligned with company vision and market trends.
- Drive new feature initiatives from concept through production release and go-to-market, balancing system enhancements against technical debt in a coherent release schedule.
- Balance long-term vision with hands-on guidance for work currently in flight, ensuring today's projects inform tomorrow's roadmap and vice versa.
- Maintain deep familiarity with the operation and architecture of the Validus platform.
- Stay current on capital markets, compliance regulations and statutes, risk management practices, competitive dynamics, and broader SaaS trends.
- Work with customers and the Client Success team to understand platform usage patterns across customer cohorts, and translate those insights into product strategy.
- Analyze markets, segment key customer groups, and track competitive and technology trends — incorporating insights into product plans that balance market opportunity, product scope, and time-to-market.
- Track tactical solutions that Relationship Managers offer customers, identify patterns, and propose systematic enhancements that build the desired functionality into the platform.
- Develop and productize dynamic reporting for customers, proposing enhancements that deliver report families on demand via UI and/or API.
- Act as a thought leader, identifying technology opportunities and approaches that delight both the team and customers.
- Advocate for RMs on system needs and for developers on customer needs, working with engineers to balance design tradeoffs and ensure timely product releases.
- Support the creation and review of sales and marketing collateral, including customer presentations, white papers, competitive briefings, product demonstrations, data sheets, and FAQs.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in senior or executive product management within capital markets, ideally with a fintech focus.
- Extensive knowledge of product trends within capital markets and trade surveillance.
- Superb attention to detail and excellent data-driven reporting and analysis skills.
- A dynamic collaborator who communicates effectively with diverse audiences — technical, legal, compliance, and front-office stakeholders across clients, prospects, and internal teams.
- Subject-matter expertise in equities and futures, with experience in — or appetite for — digital assets, FX, fixed income, and/or prediction markets.
- Proven ability to work with technology teams on dynamic software applications.
- Working knowledge of third-party surveillance systems.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
