Accounting Specialist

Position Title:  Accounts Receivable Specialist

Reports To:     Controller, Finance

This position reports into our Rochester office Monday-Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday.                                      

Responsibilities are:

• Preparation and review of general journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet and income statement analysis
• Monitor company bank balances and report daily
• Monitor theater openings/closing to ensure proper billing
• Expense report processing
• Assist with company’s annual audit.
• Generating timely and accurate customer invoices on a weekly basis
• Apply payment to invoices for deposits and pre-paid contracts
• Fold and Mail or Email invoices weekly
• Working with other departments to resolve billing issues or disputes
• Identify returns and credits
• Maintaining accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date
• Handling customer inquiries regarding bills or payments
• Spreadsheet Preparation of Detailed Account Statement of Customer History.
• Reconcile client accounts
• Maintain Accurate History of Customer Contact.
• Process Suspension of delinquent clients.
• Approve contracts in IBMS (operating system) and set up recurring billing cycles for multiple billing periods
• Pre-Invoice client for deposits, contracts in full the day they are received.
• Setup clients with recurring credit card terms
• Liaison with Sales, Operations and Billing. Departments to resolve client issues.
• Review Credit Balance Accounts.
• Various Projects as directed by Manager

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting
• MUST have strong knowledge of systems, Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains a plus.
• MUST have strong knowledge of Excel.
• 2-3 years of experience in Public/Private Accounting preferred.
• Strong written and oral communications.
• Ability to excel in a team environment and work independently

Salary Range: 37,000 - 42,000 USD Annually + Benefits

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
