We are currently looking for: Senior Ontologist

Requirements:

We are currently looking for a Senior Ontologist to join an international project, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of ontologies that support Knowledge Graph, semantic enrichment, data integration, and knowledge management initiatives.

Required Competencies:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in ontology design, development, and semantic technologies
• Strong experience designing, implementing, and maintaining ontologies and taxonomies independently
• Expert knowledge of Semantic Web and W3C standards:
  • RDF / RDFS
  • OWL
  • SKOS
  • SHACL
  • SPARQL
• Strong knowledge of Datalog or other inferencing rule languages
• Experience with standard serialization formats, including Turtle (TTL) and JSON-LD
• Experience analysing different data formats, including JSON and Excel, for semantic integration
• Experience with ontology development tools such as metaphactory and RDFox
• Strong experience with Git, including branching, merging, and reviewing ontology-related changes
• Knowledge of ontology and taxonomy development best practices and methodologies
• Ability to ensure semantic accuracy, consistency, and quality across ontology models
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• English proficiency – C1/C2

Location: European Union – Full Remote

Gross salary range
€3,800–€4,300 monthly

Note: Includes all components: Fixed, Variable, Meal Allowance, Remote Work, and Benefits.
