Candidate Experience Specialist

We are now hiring a Candidate Experience Specialist to help guide new hires through the final stages of the recruiting and onboarding process.

About the Role

As a Candidate Experience Specialist, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for candidates after they receive an offer through the start of their in-person training.

You’ll help new hires complete required paperwork, background and compliance requirements, and training while keeping them informed and engaged throughout the process. You’ll also work closely with Recruiting, HR, Training, Safety, Employment Standards, and Operations to make sure candidates are ready to begin their new role.

What You’ll Do

  • Guide candidates through the onboarding process from official offer through the start of in-person training
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, answering questions and providing timely updates
  • Help candidates complete required hiring documents, background checks, and compliance requirements
  • Schedule candidates for remote, onsite, or hybrid training as appropriate
  • Ensure candidates are prepared for their first day of training at their assigned location
  • Track candidate progress and maintain accurate information within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other company systems
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR, Employment Standards, Training, Safety, and Operations to resolve onboarding issues and prevent delays
  • Coordinate with training teams and location leaders regarding candidate schedules and readiness
  • Proactively follow up with candidates to maintain engagement throughout the onboarding process
  • Monitor onboarding completion, training readiness, time-to-hire, and other key performance indicators
  • Identify trends, bottlenecks, or potential delays and take action to keep candidates moving forward
  • Stay current on hiring processes, systems, compliance requirements, and best practices
  • Support process improvements that make onboarding more efficient and improve the candidate experience
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the team and organization

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service, recruiting, onboarding, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple candidates, deadlines, and priorities at the same time
  • A strong sense of urgency and the ability to follow through
  • Comfort working with Applicant Tracking Systems, CRM platforms, or similar systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teams across the organization

Work Environment

  • Remote work environment with the ability to use standard office equipment
  • Minimal travel to company locations may be required for meetings, training, or other business needs
