Job Description

  • You will be accountable for growing the research business and meeting sales budgets covering the Midlands by in-depth knowledge of market segments, technical knowledge and sales skills.
  • You will be selling research consumables and reagents, and the full workflow to new and existing customers, covering cellular research immunology, cancer research, neuroscience, stem cell research, and others. Travel throughout the Midlands to develop and maintain knowledge of accounts, solicit orders, perform product demonstrations, attend trade shows, congresses and symposia.
  • Work with sales management to develop and execute the territory growth plan in line with the company's strategic goals.
  • You will develop our relationships with customers and key opinion leaders in academia, biotech, CROs/CMOs, and pharmaceutical companies.
  • Document customer interactions, appointments and opportunities in the CRM system and participate in strategic marketing analysis and identification of new opportunities.

Qualifications

  • You have a BSc in a biological discipline or an MSc/PhD in Immunology, Cell analysis, or Cancer Biology and several years of sales experience in the life sciences environment.
  • You have strong commercial skills and you'll be able to demonstrate your ability to strategically plan account activities and accurately forecast sales.
  • The position requires you to be a well-organized individual with good interpersonal skills and commercial drive.
  • You're an excellent presenter, one-on-one and in front of larger audiences (from research students to senior scientists).
  • You'll travel regularly, with some overnight stays, and you are based in the assigned territory (ideally in Birmingham / Leiceister or Coventry area).
