Job Summary
Acts as an active member of the patient care team to provide clinical patient care assessment, initiation, modification, and discontinuance of therapeutic respiratory care procedures to critically ill patients. Analyzes and evaluates clinical patient data to determine the appropriate therapy or interventions and makes recommendations on patient care plans to the medical staff.

Education
Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy required or Bachelor's Degree Respiratory Therapy preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Respiratory Therapist [Massachusetts] - Massachusetts Board of Respiratory Care required Heartsaver CPR AED [CPR] - American Heart Association (AHA) preferred, NRP Neonatal.
Experience
Respiratory Therapy Experience 3-5 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of relevant equipment and supplies used in respiratory care, as well as ability to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and updated as needed.
- Skills in collaboration and communication, including ability to work effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Skills in patient and family education, including ability to develop and deliver educational materials and programs that help parents and caregivers understand respiratory care needs and techniques.
- Ability to problem solve and think critically to assess complex situations and make informed decisions about patient care.
- Ability to keep accurate records and documentation.
