Job description

Pay Range: €49,200 - €78,740

Placement within the salary range will vary depending on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal equity considerations.

Reports To: Southern Europe Territory Manager

Location: Field Based, Spain

Position Summary

A position driving ImmunoAssay Sales inc. Simple Plex platform (Ella), Luminex instruments and kits. A field-based sales position responsible for Spain. The role is to sell these products into all Customer Groups (Pharma, Biotech, Academia etc.). The ideal candidate will have Capital Equipment sales experience, a life science background and live in the territory.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The position is responsible for sales of Bio-Techne Immunoassay Instruments (Ella & Luminex), consumables to all Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Academic and Government accounts in territory. Day to day responsibilities will involve planning regular travel to customer accounts in territory, effective follow up of sales leads, efficient management of the sales pipeline and prompt closure of instrument system and consumable sales opportunities. Other duties will involve working closely with colleagues in other Bio-Techne sales teams, reporting back on on-going market conditions and occasionally supporting marketing at key exhibitions and conferences.
 

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Ideally 2 Years proven experience in capital equipment sales to the Life Sciences research sector with either experience in sales of disruptive new technologies to the biopharmaceutical customer segment or Immunoassay system sales experience.

  • Minimum of a Bachelor level degree in a relevant scientific discipline. A research background with higher degree (MSc or PhD) is an advantage.

Skills Required/desired

  • Experience selling Immunoassay systems or products to pharma, biotech, and academic customers. Knowledge of the Immunoassay market and key players.

  • General business skills such as negotiation, strong organizational skills, problem solving and fact-based decision making. Demonstrable experience in addressing the entire Spanish Life Science market (Academia and Commercial) will be an advantage.

  • Highly motivated with demonstrative interpersonal, presentation & organizational skills. Energetic, enthusiastic, and hungry for success and hunter mentality

  • Able to work with a high degree of independence. A “self-starter”.

  • Proficient in German and English languages (written and spoken) with demonstrably excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal interaction skills and demonstrable ability to work collaboratively at all levels within the Bio-Techne organisation.

  • Strong customer relationship skills. Skilled in anticipating and resolving issues.

  • Excellent attention to detail, time management and process management

  • Strong interpersonal interaction skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.

  • Proficient in the use of computer applications and software. Familiarity with MS Office and SalesForce.com CRM system advantageous.

  • Able to perform a wide variety of tasks and multi-task efficiently plus excel in working in a fast-paced environment.
