Position Summary

We're looking for a Business Intelligence Developer who enjoys turning data into meaningful insights. In this role, you'll partner with business teams to understand their goals, explore data, and create dashboards and reports that support informed decision-making.

The ideal candidate is naturally curious, enjoys solving complex problems, and is comfortable working through evolving business requirements. You'll have the opportunity to design reporting solutions, improve existing processes, and contribute to a growing analytics environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop interactive Power BI reports and dashboards that help users understand business performance.
  • Write efficient SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data from multiple sources.
  • Create and maintain operational and analytical reports using SSRS.
  • Work closely with business partners to understand reporting needs and recommend effective solutions.
  • Design data models that support accurate, scalable, and high-performing reporting.
  • Investigate trends, identify data patterns, and provide actionable insights.
  • Validate data accuracy and resolve reporting issues by working with source systems and data teams.
  • Improve existing reporting processes through automation and continuous enhancement.
  • Document reporting logic, calculations, and technical solutions.
  • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing across the team.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience developing Business Intelligence or reporting solutions.
  • Hands-on experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI.
  • Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and dimensional data modeling.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including joins, CTEs, window functions, and query optimization.
  • Experience developing and supporting SSRS reports.
  • Understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with healthcare or insurance data.
  • Exposure to Azure data services or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and tools such as SSIS or Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps, Git, or other version control tools.
  • Understanding of Agile development practices.
  • Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
