Job description

Position Title: Project Manager

Reporting Line: Reports directly to the Product Owner.

Location: Fully Remote

General Purpose: Responsible for managing feature delivery by coordinating with developers, gathering stakeholder requirements, supporting the Product Owner with release coordination, prototyping features, maintaining clear delivery plans, tracking dependencies and risks, and ensuring features are delivered in line with agreed priorities and timelines.

Specific Objectives (~12 months):

  • Develop comprehensive product knowledge sufficient to independently manage feature planning and delivery.
  • Assume end-to-end ownership of assigned product initiatives, making day-to-day decisions independently and escalating only when necessary.
  • Build and document a clear understanding of departmental needs and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Independently manage assigned initiatives from requirement gathering through release, meeting agreed scope, timelines, and quality expectations.
  • Establish effective working relationships with key departments and proactively resolve cross-functional dependencies and delivery risks.

Key Activities:

  • Manage the development and delivery of assigned features and product initiatives.
  • Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders, developers, QA specialists, Product team members, and representatives from other departments.
  • Gather, clarify, document, and prioritize business and product requirements.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into clear tasks, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans for the development team.
  • Track progress, timelines, dependencies, risks, and blockers throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Facilitate planning sessions, status meetings, requirement reviews, and release-readiness discussions.
  • Coordinate feature testing, stakeholder validation, and issue resolution with QA and development teams.
  • Support the Product Owner in planning and coordinating releases.
  • Create prototypes or mock-ups to clarify requirements and validate feature concepts.
  • Maintain project documentation and provide clear, timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Make day-to-day delivery decisions independently and escalate significant risks or scope changes when necessary.
  • Conduct feature demonstrations for stakeholders, gather feedback, and document agreed follow-up actions.
  • Use AI tools to improve the efficiency and quality of requirements gathering, documentation, feature prototyping, analysis, and project coordination.

Key Competences:

  • Strong ownership and accountability, with the ability to independently drive initiatives from requirements through release.
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills, including the ability to resolve day-to-day delivery issues and escalate significant risks appropriately.
  • Practical experience with UI/UX and a clear understanding of core user-experience and interface-design principles.Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills across Product, Development, QA, and other departments.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, stakeholders, dependencies, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to gather, clarify, and translate business needs into clear user stories, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and delivery tasks.
  • Strong understanding of frontend and backend systems, including their dependencies, integrations, connections, and end-to-end data flows.
  • Ability to assess how changes to one system component may affect other features, services, or departments.
  • Practical knowledge of the software development and release lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and post-release review.
  • Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to break complex requirements into manageable tasks and identify risks or dependencies.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills for planning sessions, stakeholder discussions, feature demonstrations, and feedback collection.
  • Ability to create prototypes or mock-ups to clarify requirements and validate feature concepts.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills when balancing stakeholder expectations, technical constraints, and delivery priorities.
  • Adaptability and composure when requirements, priorities, or timelines change.
  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing requirements, tracking delivery progress, and coordinating releases.
  • Proficiency in using AI tools to support requirements analysis, documentation, prototyping, research, task preparation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs, verify their accuracy, and apply them responsibly within product-development and delivery processes.
