ROLE SUMMARY

Full-Time Fellowship | Entry Level

This is a two-phase fellowship for a recent U.S. college graduate ready to grow fast, think globally and apply cutting-edge digital marketing skills in one of the world's most dynamic investment environments. 

You will work directly with Renew Capital's team to develop and execute digital marketing strategies that elevate our brand across pan-Africa and global markets. The ideal candidate is a data-driven, AI-fluent marketer who has already built real-world experience through internships, campus projects, freelance work or personal brand building, and is ready to take that foundation into a high-growth professional setting.

Fellowship Responsibilities

1. Digital strategy & execution

• Support the development and execution of data-driven digital marketing strategies that increase Renew Capital's brand awareness, website traffic and social media engagement.
• Manage digital channels including SEO, email marketing, HubSpot, paid media, social media and content marketing.
• Use AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, Perplexity, Claude) to accelerate content production, audience research and campaign ideation.
• Assist with performance marketing campaigns across Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads and other paid channels to drive lead generation and investor engagement.

2. Website, SEO & conversion optimization

• Support management and optimization of Renew Capital's website for user experience, search engine visibility and conversion.
• Conduct SEO audits using both traditional and AI-assisted tools; implement best practices to increase organic traffic.
• Analyze website performance using Google Analytics, heat-mapping tools and AI-driven analytics platforms, translating findings into actionable recommendations.

3. Social media & content marketing

• Develop and execute social media content and engagement strategies, growing our digital community across LinkedIn, Instagram, X and emerging platforms.
• Use AI tools to research, draft, repurpose and optimize content — while maintaining Renew Capital's distinct brand voice.
• Collaborate with the Media Co team to produce high-quality content including blog posts, reports, videos and infographics.
• Leverage founder stories, investment success cases and industry insights to build credibility and engagement.

4. Data, analytics & performance tracking

• Measure and report on digital marketing performance, tracking ROI and optimizing campaigns against KPIs.
• Build dashboard reports using Google Analytics, HubSpot and other marketing tools.
• Apply AI-assisted analytics tools to surface trends, identify audience insights and improve campaign performance.
• Stay ahead of emerging platforms, algorithm shifts and AI-driven marketing technologies.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a recent U.S. college graduate (December 2024 to May 2025) with a degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field. You have not waited around; you have been building. Whether through internships, side projects, a campus media outlet, a personal brand or freelance clients, you have hands-on experience in digital marketing and you know how the tools have changed.

You bring:

• Demonstrated experience with SEO, social media strategy, email marketing or paid media from coursework, internships or independent projects.
• Fluency with AI tools as part of a marketing workflow. You know how to prompt well, edit critically and integrate AI output into high-quality deliverables.
• Familiarity with platforms such as HubSpot, Google Analytics, Google Ads or LinkedIn Ads at any level of depth.
• Strong writing and communication skills; you can adapt your voice to a brand and write for different audiences.
• A data mindset; you look at numbers, ask questions and form a point of view.
• Curiosity about Africa's private sector, emerging markets or global investment, you do not need to be an expert, but you need to want to learn.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-cultural, fast-moving environment.

Bonus if you have:

• Built or grown a personal brand, newsletter, podcast or content channel.
• Experience with video content, short-form social or multimedia storytelling.
• Exposure to venture capital, fintech or startup ecosystems through coursework, competitions or work experience.
• Certifications in Google Analytics, HubSpot, Meta Ads or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in French (written and/or spoken) is a plus.

ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP

This is a full-time fellowship, and it is structured in two phases.

Phase 1 — Fellowship (months one through four): Fellows work embedded within the team, with direct mentorship from senior professionals across investment, marketing and communications. Real responsibility from day one, not a coffee-and-spreadsheet internship.

Phase 2 — Full-time employment (month five onward): Fellows who demonstrate strong performance and mutual fit will be offered a paid, full-time position with Renew Capital. This is not a guaranteed conversation; it is earned. We are looking for someone who wants to build.
