Job description

Job Purpose

As a Senior Technical Consultant within CR2’s Professional Services Department, you will lead the technical delivery of CR2’s Digital & Cards Solutions to banking and financial services clients globally. You will be responsible for the end-to-end technical implementation, integration, and support of CR2’s product suite, ensuring high-quality outcomes aligned with customer expectations and CR2’s standards. This role demands a proactive, performance-driven professional who can manage complex technical environments, mentor junior consultants, and drive customer success.



Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Design

Assist in developing implementation, migration, and testing plans.

Participate in solution design workshops, identifying integration points and technical risks.

Implementation & Configuration

Install and configure CR2 software (e.g., BankWorld, Sparrow) in customer environments.

Collaborate with architects and integrators to tailor solutions to client needs.

Business Requirements Implementation

Translate functional requirements into technical deliverables.

Support customisation and parameterisation of CR2 platforms.

Testing & Certification

Conduct system integration testing (SIT) and support user acceptance testing (UAT) with client teams.

Assist clients with EFT Switch certification and compliance.

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution

Diagnose and resolve technical issues during and post-implementation.

Collaborate with Customer Support for escalated incidents and RCA.

Customer Engagement & Training

Deliver training sessions and system walkthroughs.

Provide post-go-live support and ensure smooth production transition.

UAT & Go-Live Support

Coordinate UAT activities and defect resolution.

Execute go-live readiness checks, cutover planning, and post-launch monitoring.

Handover & Documentation

Produce comprehensive documentation including installation guides, configuration records, and operational procedures.

Conduct formal handover to clients and internal support teams.


Critical Competencies

Communication Skills

Strong verbal and written communication.

Ability to facilitate discussions and manage stakeholder expectations.

Technical Proficiency

Proficient in OS (Windows, UNIX), databases (Oracle), scripting (Shell, PowerShell), and networking basics.

Agile Methodology

Experience working in agile environments with iterative delivery cycles.

Domain Knowledge

Understanding of digital banking, payment systems, and transaction flows.

Project Delivery

Proven ability to manage multi-phase projects under pressure with diverse stakeholders.

CR2 Product Knowledge

Familiarity with CR2’s BankWorld/Sparrow platforms and implementation methodology.

 

Qualifications & Experience

Education

5+ years of experience in banking or fintech projects, preferably in customer-facing roles.

Actively mentor at least 2 junior consultants per year.
