About this role

RetSci is seeking a motivated and passionate Business Consultant to join our fast growing Delivery team. 



This team member will become an expert in our vendor partners software product offering and assist with delivering the solution to our customers. Day-to-day work will involve splitting time between two roles (1) participating in design sessions, gathering and documenting requirements, and collaborating with our engineering team as they configure and deliver for our clients, and (2) project management for the client engagement including ownership of the timeline, financials, and communications.

Our team implements solutions to help retailers with the following processes:


  • Assortment Planning
  • Merchandise Financial Planning
  • Location Planning
  • Item Planning
  • Forecasting
  • Replenishment
  • Allocation


What you will do

  • Participate in client design workshops and document business processes, requirements, and constraints
  • Create test scenarios that will be used to validate the solution functions as designed
  • Coordinate testing efforts between project team and client team
  • Provide guidance to our clients as they test the solution
  • Create training materials and conduct training sessions for the users
  • Advocate for our customers as they encounter issues and request enhancements
  • Develop client engagement timeline/milestones and monitor on-track completion, escalating any risks or issues accordingly
  • Analyze and monitor project financials and resource balancing against project budget
  • Provide weekly status updates on the project internally as well as externally to the client

  • The ability to be creative while also working towards goals and timelines
  • The ability to lead projects and work with minimal supervision 
  • Bachelor's degree with excellent academics in business or technology disciplines (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Business Analytics, Computer Science)
  • 3-5+ years of experience in consulting or previous experience in process design and requirements gathering for software delivery 

Even better if you have

  • Experience in retail 
  • Experience leading projects and managing timelines/resources/financials


 Work Model:


We offer flexible working options depending on location.

  • Team members based near one of our office hubs (Atlanta, Paris, or Porto) typically work in a hybrid setup.
  • Candidates based in regions where RetSci does not currently have an office may still be considered for remote opportunities.
