Northeast Regional Sales Manager 


Must live in Northeastern Region 

Reports to V.P. Regional Sales – Amy Sadusky

Inside Sale Personnel Assigned.

Manage network of independent manufacturers rep agencies within the territory.

The Northeast Regional Sales Manager is responsible for sales of AWG wire and cable products, developing markets and maintaining relationships with existing client base as well as tracking new sales opportunities and first information on projects with owners and operators of utilities, power generation, engineering firms, contractors, specifically serving the electrical utility market within the geographic region of the Southeast United States.


Key Responsibilities:


Commercial (Sales, Marketing):

  • Develop and close sales opportunities through network of Manufacturers Reps
  • Provide access to key decision makers at customers.
  • Provide details and participate on key projects bid process.
  • Track to participate in Utility Master Material Agreement RFQ events (Blankets).
  • Maintain relationships with key customers and utilize CRM within AWG system.
  • Travel for customer meetings throughout the region.
  • Facilitate meetings with customer and AWG management.
  • Conduct sales and training presentations to customers.



Technical:

  • Provide Technical information to customers for AWG vendor approval.
  • When necessary, attend Prebid meetings, visit job sites and customer test centers.
  • Initiate Non-Conformance process to investigate product complaints and forward answer/results/solution back to the customer.
  • General knowledge of construction methods relating to wire and cable



Business:

  • Understand Contract language.
  • Good understanding to provide market intelligence on competition, regional pricing, and margin levels for successful quotation submittals.
  • Participate in development of Utility Sales Plan for the annual Sales meeting.
  • Responsible management of expenses.
  • Maintain awareness of AWG goals.
  • Successful completion of on-the-job training to use AWG’s Microsoft D365 business application to generate customer quotes and sales orders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF) as required to prepare reports and presentations


Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Engineering Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • 3 + years-combined sales, business development, marketing experience in cable industry or electrical engineering a definite asset.
  • Selling to electrical utilities a definite asset
  •  Able to work independently and a team player with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong PC skills, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Good Listener.
  • Self-Starter.


Physical Requirements:

  •   Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at a time.
  • Travel within assigned territory approximately 50% of the time.


Compensation:

  • To be discussed and commensurate with experience.
  • Eligible for 401K participation after 1 year

Compensation: 125,000-150,000
