Job description

About Us

Tracker Products is a Christian-owned company rooted in a commitment to integrity, innovation, and purposeful growth. We develop cloud-based evidence management software used by law enforcement agencies across the country. Our mission is to bring order to chaos — helping our clients streamline operations, ensure chain-of-custody integrity, and support the equitable delivery of justice.

We operate from a foundation of biblical values, including servant leadership, honesty & integrity, results matter, growth oriented, wow our client & each other, and work-life balance. As such, we seek team members who are not only passionate about high performance but also aligned with our culture of humility, service, and purpose. If these values resonate with you, and you're energized by the idea of working in a fast-growing, mission-driven environment, we invite you to consider joining our team.

Director of Product

Product Department

Summary Description

This position reports to the CEO.

We are a fast-growing SaaS company building technology that powers safer, smarter evidence management for public safety teams. Our platform supports frontline professionals — including evidence technicians, investigators, and administrators — in managing highly sensitive digital and physical evidence with integrity, security, and ease.

As Director of Product, you will lead the entire product side of the business, owning product strategy, discovery, and delivery outcomes end to end. You will also provide senior leadership and direction over Engineering and QA ensuring strong execution, quality, and alignment with product priorities.

As the first product leader in the company, this role is both strategic and hands-on. You will set the product vision and operating model while acting as the primary product practitioner until the product team scales.

What You’ll Do

Product Leadership & Strategy

  • Own and articulate the product vision, strategy, and multi-phase roadmap aligned with company goals, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the full product lifecycle from discovery and validation through delivery, launch, and iteration.
  • Establish a user- and data-informed product operating model, moving the organization from ad-hoc decisions to structured prioritization.
  • Serve as the company’s primary voice of the customer, grounding decisions in real user needs and feedback.

Product Execution (Hands-On)

  • Act as the primary product manager initially, including:
    • Running product discovery and customer interviews
    • Defining problems, outcomes, and success metrics
    • Writing clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
    • Managing the product backlog and prioritization
  • Analyze product usage, feedback, and KPIs to inform roadmap decisions and measure impact.
  • Establish and maintain lightweight product processes, tools, and documentation.

Engineering & QA Leadership

  • Directly manage Engineering and QA teams.
  • Ensure strong alignment between product priorities and engineering execution, balancing speed, quality, and sustainability.
  • Provide leadership on:
    • Delivery planning and sequencing
    • Quality standards and release readiness
    • Capacity and dependency planning

  • Act as the single point of accountability for product outcomes across Product, Engineering, and QA.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as the bridge between Product, Engineering, QA, and customer-facing teams (Sales, Customer Success, Support).
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales on product launches, positioning, and go-to-market readiness.
  • Communicate product direction, trade-offs, and progress clearly to executives and stakeholders.

Team & Function Building

  • Lay the foundation for a scalable product organization, including future roles, processes, and career paths.
  • Mentor engineering leadership and contribute to a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Play a key role in defining when and how the product team expands.

What You Bring

Must-Haves

  • 3–6+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrated experience owning product strategy and execution end to end.
  • Strong track record of working closely with Engineering teams in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in remote or async settings.
  • High degree of ownership, autonomy, and comfort operating in ambiguity.
  • Proven ability to lead product discovery and speak directly with users on a regular basis.
  • Experience using product and delivery tools such as Jira, Linear, Trello, Notion, or similar.
  • Ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to drive prioritization and decisions.
  • Passion for building meaningful, mission-driven products.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in GovTech, Public Safety, or other compliance-heavy or regulated domains.
  • Familiarity with CJIS or similar regulatory environments.
  • Exposure to evidence management, records systems, or justice-related workflows.
  • Experience with product feedback and analytics platforms (e.g., Productboard, Canny, Amplitude, Mixpanel).
  • Prior experience mentoring engineering leaders or influencing delivery at the organizational level.

Why Join Us?

  • Lead and shape a product that directly supports public safety professionals.
  • Own the product function at a critical growth stage with real influence and autonomy.
  • Work with a collaborative, mission-driven, and remote-first team.
  • Help define not just what we build, but how we build it.

Final Notes

This is a rare opportunity to lead the entire product organization — strategy, execution, and delivery — while building the foundation for long-term scale. If you thrive in early-stage environments, enjoy balancing hands-on work with leadership, and care deeply about user impact, we’d love to talk.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and performance-based incentives
  • Opportunities for career advancement and professional growth
  • A collaborative and supportive team culture
  • Access to ongoing training and development
