ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To execute this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers and other employees of Southeast Pipe Survey, Inc. and its sub-contractors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Candidate must have the ability to enforce problem solving policies.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Drivers License
CDL Preferred
Flagger Certification preferred
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to operate equipment, including heavy equipment, forklifts, and bobcat.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations to assure safety.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands or arms, talk or hear, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Field Support Technician must regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the essential functions of this position, the Field Support Technician frequently works in outdoor weather conditions and in extreme heat and cold. Regularly works in wet or humid conditions and is subjected to vibration. Occasionally works in high, precarious places and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
