Responsibilities

  • Performs and oversees civil engineering work, focused on site design components including site layout, yard piping, paving and grading, and stormwater infrastructure
  • Performs and conceptual and preliminary design activities including site visits, fieldwork, alternatives analysis, and report preparation
  • Completes detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications for site civil aspects of residential or commercial sites
  • Conducts stormwater hydraulic calculations and/or modeling and incorporates into the site civil design
  • Prepares and reviews technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables
  • Reviews contractor submittals for conformance with contract drawings and specifications
  • Provides, and coordinates engineering services during construction
  • Serves as civil engineer for large multi-discipline projects 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil/site development, stormwater, and permitting
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or EIT Desired
  • Ability to develop and oversee drawings for civil plans (site layout, piping, grading, drainage, and paving) from sketches
  • Experience with the planning and design of layout and site design projects
  • Experience with site development requirements and permitting; experience with environmental resource permits
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Civil 3D and at least 2 years' experience with ICPR

$85,000$110,000 USD
