About Us

Mint Source is a remote-first bridge that connects vibrant talent with international clients and agencies, enabling skilled individuals to showcase their expertise on a global stage.

Role Overview

Mint Source is recruiting an Email and SMS Account Manager to join an email and SMS marketing agency that helps e-commerce and B2B brands grow through data-driven campaigns, flows, and lifecycle strategy. This is a client-facing, strategy-first seat: you'll own the relationship and direction for a portfolio of accounts, lead weekly calls with clients and the internal team, and keep the creative team stocked with clear, well-briefed tasks. Implementation support sits with junior team members, so your time goes to high-level thinking, client communication, and account performance rather than tedious production work. This role is the hub of the agency, where client trust, team output, and retention all come together.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a portfolio of email and SMS client accounts with varying levels of involvement, from high-touch strategic relationships to light maintenance accounts, starting with around 8 accounts and growing week by week to 10+ at full capacity
  • Lead weekly calls with clients and with the internal team supporting your accounts
  • Set the strategy for each account, including campaign calendars, flow priorities, and side projects
  • Create and brief tasks for the creative team in ClickUp based on each client's workload
  • Read and interpret performance data across Klaviyo, Omnisend, and other email platforms to guide account decisions
  • Delegate copy and email uploads to junior account managers and review their output
  • Keep clients updated with proactive, structured communication over Slack and regular meetings
  • Monitor account health, spot risks early, and act before they become retention problems
  • Stay current on email and SMS trends and bring fresh ideas to your accounts

What We're Looking For

  • 3-5 years of experience managing client accounts in email, SMS, or lifecycle marketing, ideally agency-side
  • Experience handling multiple client accounts at once and a clear understanding of what it takes to keep that many relationships healthy
  • Hands-on familiarity with Klaviyo, Omnisend, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, and most major email platforms
  • Comfortable working across Slack, ClickUp, and Figma
  • An understanding of what it takes to scale a DTC brand, with the flexibility to apply email thinking to non-ecommerce clients too
  • An outgoing, proactive communicator who stays resilient and calm under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail paired with creativity and problem-solving
  • A plus, not a dealbreaker: hands-on design skills for same-day edits, an eye for design, and case studies or a portfolio of past client work

Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)

  • Maintain solid client retention across your portfolio
  • Demonstrate command of marketing data and overall digital marketing, using performance insights to drive account decisions
  • Keep the team you manage consistently briefed, so everyone always has clear work in the queue
  • Run client and internal calls that leave both sides aligned on priorities and next steps
  • 30/60/90: begin with a small pod of accounts during training, take on additional clients weekly as you ramp, and progress from supervised handovers to independently managing a full portfolio of 10+ accounts

What You Get

  • Competitive compensation discussed individually based on experience and location
  • A fully remote role with a 50/50 balance of collaboration and independent ownership
  • Regular structured feedback through weekly and monthly check-ins
  • Real growth headroom as the agency scales and your portfolio grows
