Opportunity

Our firm is seeking a part-time
remote eBilling Specialist to be responsible for the administration of client electronic billing (ebilling), including submission of invoices, documentation and reporting.
From your home office, you’ll handle all facets of the firm’s ebilling processes through various platforms in supporting the billing team.

Our team at Stotler Hayes Group, LLC is comprised of 50 attorneys, paralegals, and operations staff.  Each of our attorneys works remotely from co-working spaces or home offices around the country, supported by paralegals and operations staff located in the firm’s brick and mortar offices in South Carolina and Ohio. Our team members are detail-oriented, industrious, and engaging connoisseurs of healthcare law with an emphasis on securing payor sources for our long-term care industry clients. The practice involves the interplay of multiple related areas of law including Medicaid eligibility and reimbursement, administrative appeals, civil litigation, probate, collections, estate administration, and guardianships. All new team members are provided with onboarding and training.

Work Model & Schedule

  • W-2, part-time position
  • Approximately 15 hours a week, Monday–Friday 3 hours daily, ideally 10am - 1pm (flexible, aligning to your respective U.S. time zone and optimizing team collaboration inside of regular business operating hours)
  • Fully remote (with limited travel only for firm events/training)
  • Structured support with autonomy in day-to-day

Key Responsibilities

  • E-billing and accruals
  • Handling Fee Statement Requests
  • Disseminating pre-bills to Reviewers
  • Reviewing, editing, and finalizing pre-bills
  • Responding to internal and external requests for invoices;
  • Manage timekeeper and billing rates in client eBilling systems ;
  • Submit & coordinate client e-bills through various platforms;
  • Maintain accurate up to date internal records;
  • Pro-actively review and track e-bill status, ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and conformance to company policies, client billing guidelines, and various internal deadlines and communicate with team to support timely client payments;
  • and Other duties as assigned.  

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Highly organized, detail oriented, problem solver/analytical, flexible, and self-motivated;
  • Demonstrates expertise and management of all facets of ebilling;
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and customer service skills required;
  • A minimum of 3 years of direct law firm ebilling experience, preference shall be given to candidates working with cloud-based billing systems and a variety of e-billing systems;
  • Knowledge and ability to understand ebilling & all other billing systems functionality/capabilities and billing models;
  • Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with both attorneys, staff, vendors, and clients; and
  • Observes confidentiality of client and firm matters.

Technical Proficiency

  • Expertise in ebilling and platforms such as Legal Tracker, Counsel Link, Tymetrix360, Acuity, etc.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Mac/Apple operating systems
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong attention to detail
