1.Introduction
Ubongo is Africa’s leading edutainment organization dedicated to creating inclusive, high-quality educational content that supports children’s learning, confidence, curiosity, and problem-solving skills. Through localized multimedia content distributed via television, radio, digital platforms, and offline channels, Ubongo reaches millions of children and families across Africa.
As part of its commitment to generating evidence on the effectiveness and implementation of its educational approaches, Ubongo is conducting a Teacher Follow-Up Study on the Integration of Learning Through Play (LtP) and Edutainment Approaches in Classroom Practice.
In 2025, Ubongo conducted teacher engagement and capacity-building sessions aimed at strengthening teachers’ ability to integrate Learning Through Play approaches, storytelling techniques, learner-centered facilitation strategies, and Ubongo educational content into classroom teaching. While teacher feedback indicated increased awareness, confidence, and perceived usefulness of these approaches, there is a need to understand whether these approaches are being translated into observable classroom practices.
This study will assess how Learning Through Play approaches are implemented in real classroom settings, including classroom interactions, learner participation, engagement, confidence, curiosity, and the use of learner-centered teaching strategies.
Ubongo is therefore seeking experienced classroom observation enumerators to support data collection in participating schools in Nigeria and Kenya.
2.Purpose of the Assignment
