About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead the build-out of our commercial presence in Bahrain and the wider GCC region, operating as part of our APAC team.

This is a high-impact role focused on new market entry, revenue generation, and partnership development. You will take full ownership of building a pipeline, closing deals, and establishing TransferMate as a key player in the region.

What You’ll Do

  • Own new business acquisition across Bahrain and GCC, targeting corporates, fintechs, and strategic partners

  • Build and execute a local go-to-market strategy aligned with APAC leadership

  • Manage the full sales cycle – from prospecting through to deal close

  • Develop strategic partnerships (banks, fintechs, ERP platforms, payroll providers)

  • Create and maintain a high-quality pipeline across short and long sales cycles Deliver against ambitious revenue targets in a build-phase environment

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, compliance, and marketing teams

  • Provide market intelligence to shape our GCC expansion strategy

  • Act as The Principal Representative as an “approved person” by the CBB.

  • Act as the official individual responsible for the representative office in Bahrain.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–8+ years in business development / sales within fintech, payments, FX, or SaaS

  • Proven track record of closing new business and exceeding revenue targets

  • Experience building or scaling a new market, region, or territory

  • Strong partnership development and stakeholder management capability

  • Ability to operate independently in a high-growth, fast-moving environment

  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
