Job description

In this role, you will ensure patient health information is accurately documented, maintained, and securely managed throughout its lifecycle to support care delivery, compliance, and quality assurance.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain, organize, and update patient medical records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and document management systems.

  • Review incoming medical documentation (e.g., test results, physician notes, referrals) for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Process requests for patient medical records from patients, providers, and authorized third parties in accordance with HIPAA and applicable privacy laws.

  • Assist healthcare providers by ensuring all relevant documentation is easily accessible and appropriately filed.

  • Monitor, audit, and reconcile medical records to support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support accurate and efficient healthcare operations through reliable records management and compliance practices.


Requirements

  • Prior experience or strong understanding of medical records management or health information systems is a plus.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).

  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and document management tools.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple responsibilities, and work independently in a remote environment.

  • Strong commitment to accuracy and integrity in recordkeeping and data management.
