Qualifications:
Must have an active coding certification (CCS, CPC, CIC, or equivalent AHIMA/AAPC)
Minimum of 1 year experience in inpatient coding
Proficient in ICD-10-CM, PCS, and DRG assignment
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare documentation
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Review inpatient records to assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with official guidelines and payer requirements
• Collaborate with physicians and CDI teams for clarification when needed
• Meet productivity and quality benchmarks consistently
