Pay: $125,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year

Location: Fully remote, with candidates required to be local to the Los Angeles area and admitted to practice in California.

Note: Must have an active California Bar license and 1+ years of litigation experience. Probate, trust, and estate litigation experience is preferred but not required.

Job Description

  • Research and analyze legal issues involving trust and estate litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, memoranda, and other legal documents.
  • Support trust and estate litigation matters from inception through trial.
  • Prepare for and make appearances in probate courts.
  • Assist with probate administrations from the initiation of proceedings through discharge.
  • Support conservatorship and guardianship matters and assist with client representation throughout the matter.
  • Work under the guidance of senior attorneys and partners while developing increasing ownership of assigned matters.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and team members to deliver timely, high-quality legal work.
  • Adapt quickly to firm processes, technology, and a specialized area of practice.
  • Take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar membership required.
  • 1+ years of demonstrated litigation experience in any legal practice area.
  • Strong interest in probate, trusts, estate law, and related litigation.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.
  • Strong academic record preferred; law review experience highly preferred.
  • Probate, trust, and estate litigation experience preferred but not required.
