Qualifications

What we look for:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience (and interest) in different languages and frameworks. Skilled full stack
  • developer, or an expert back-end developer open to growing towards the full stack.
  • Demonstrated high level of programming, debugging, product architecture, DevOps and quality control expertise.
  • Experience working on cloud-based, high-traffic production applications.
  • Ability to solve complex problems requiring in-depth analysis.
  • High levels of proactivity.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability and desire to work in an open and team-oriented environment.
  • BS in Computer Science or related degree preferred.

What you will do:

  • Join one of DevOps teams who closely collaborate on building, operating, and owning the LME engine in Zidyia.
  • Use React and NodeJS to write key features to improve teaching and learning.
  • Learn and use AWS services like EC2, CloudFront, SQS, Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB to
  • craft cloud-native and serverless architecture and provide world-class uptime and
  • performance.
  • Use CI/CD (test automation, deployment workflow) to improve quality and deployment.
  • Lead initiatives that drastically improve the quality of the system you work with.
  • Coach and mentor other engineers.

Additional Information

  • We are remote full-stack engineers with experience building web-scale services in a loosely coupled but highly integrated system.

  • We are a mixed stack and polyglot team with a deep commitment to quality and to using the right tech for each problem we solve.

  • We work with geographically diverse teams in the UAE and across the globe

  • We use NodeJS, React and our platform runs on AWS
