Spring 2024 Intern - PSC

Job Description

The Advanced Defense Development Corporation is seeking an Intern to support our Public Safety Challenge for Spring 2024. The intern will work observing and supporting challenge organizers as we launch the innovation challenge for the first time. This position will be completely remote supporting organizers in general duties such as contestant support, conducting eligibility verifications, following up on inbound emails, and other administrative duties of a support nature. The Intern will get the opportunity to have a first look as the ADDC works to develop innovative solutions to public safety challenges faced by local public safety agencies through the innovative ideas of university students. This is an unpaid internship, however Interns will be supported in obtaining college credit.This is an opportunity to join the ADDC as an Intern to support administrative duties during the PSC challenge. It is NOT the application to join the PSC challenge which will be released January 1, 2024

Qualifications

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must: 

• Be a student who is enrolled and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled in Spring 2024. 
• Be majoring in or having majored in a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Human Resources, Political Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or business-related field 
• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher. 
• Be available to work part-time (10 hours per week minimum) during Spring 2024.
• Be eligible to obtain an Access Determination from facility security (Completion of full background investigation) 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Recent relevant experience in academic project, coursework, internship or work experience 
• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
