Manager, Professional Education and Accredited Programs
Department: Research and Medical Affairs
Status: Exempt
Reports to: Director, Medical Affairs


I. Summary

Reporting to the Director, Medical Affairs, this position is responsible for the development, management, and implementation of professional education and accredited programs. This is inclusive of NPF educational initiatives, partnership programs and accredited continuing medical education (CME) activities; including live, virtual, and enduring activities. Ensures all educational programs meet applicable accreditation standards and regulatory requirements. Under the direction of the Director, Medical Affairs, this position brings sound business judgement to program planning, budget management, outcomes measurement, and stakeholder collaboration to support high-quality professional education aligned with organizational goals.



II. Job Responsibilities

Program Development and Implementation

  • Oversee and manage the development and implementation of live, virtual, enduring, symposium, and conference-based educational activities.
  • Lead kick-off and ongoing status meetings with internal and external stakeholders, prepare agendas, review proposals, and support milestone completion.
  • Track progress towards project milestones and deliverables and proactively engage project team members to ensure timely completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support optimal program outcomes and alignment with organizational goals and priorities.


Accreditation and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance of all activities with applicable accreditation guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate accreditation standards to faculty and project stakeholders throughout program development and execution.
  • Conduct compliance audits to ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and stored appropriately.
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Educational Grants and Partnerships to ensure reporting requirements and partnership obligations are met.
  • Assist the Director, Medical Affairs with reaccreditation efforts and annual compliance with the Standards for Integrity and Independence in Continuing Accredited Education.

Project and Budget Management

  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and team coordination.
  • Track project budgets, including expenses and reconciliation in collaboration with development and finance teams.
  • Ensure project execution minimizes institutional risk and adheres to organizational standards.
  • Ensure adherence to grant expectations, timelines, and deliverables, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support timely completion of all requirements.
  • Communicate with attendees on event-related issues, including policy enforcement, attendance, data collection, and follow-up.

Outcomes Measurement and Reporting

  • Execute outcomes strategy in collaboration with the Research and Medical Affairs team and NPF Professional Education Steering Committee.
  • Collect and analyze evaluation data for all educational activities.
  • Monitor participation metrics to ensure programs meet target audience goals and performance benchmarks.

Stakeholder Engagement and Promotion

  • Attend NPF conferences, symposia, and educational events to support program execution, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with the NPF Marketing and Development [GE1] teams promote educational activities and support effective outreach and recruitment.
  • Conduct outreach and engage external distribution partners as required to meet programgoals.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams, faculty, and external partners.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain accurate tracking systems and databases for educational activities.
  • Manage the learning management system, track registration data, and maintain evaluative metrics to support program administration, reporting, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Support departmental administrative needs and assist with joint sponsorship or partnership activities as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


III. Education/Experience/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Documented experience in professional education, meeting/event planning, or healthcare program management required.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards (e.g., ACCME, ANCC) and continuing education requirements.
  • Certified Healthcare CPD Professional (CHCP) credential preferred.
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, and complex projects.
  • Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in documentation and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
