Reports to: Supervisor of YouTube 

Summary:

Do you have a passion for sharing the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ through YouTube? TBN is searching for a YouTube Channel Manager to join our growing Digital Platforms team. 

The YouTube Channel Manager will lead strategy and execution to grow YouTube channels, increase engagement, and expand the reach of TBN’s ministry through the platform. The role focuses on YouTube optimization including SEO, thumbnails, audience retention and audience growth, and performance analysis to maximize discoverability and impact. 

Responsibilities include managing video publishing and optimization, overseeing channel performance, and ensuring channel growth. This role also involves creating thumbnails and graphics; writing and optimizing titles, descriptions, and tags for search and engagement; and working closely with production teams to provide digital insights and facilitate digital content captures. As such, candidates with production experience or experience shaping content and storytelling are strongly preferred. This position reports directly to the Supervisor of YouTube.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Video editing and media management.
  • Developing platform-specific strategies to drive growth, engagement, and monetization.
  • Uploading, scheduling, and optimizing video content.
  • Writing and optimizing titles, descriptions, and tags for search and engagement.
  • Proofreading captions and on-screen text.
  • Monitoring and responding to community comments.
  • Tracking, reporting, and analyzing platform performance and key metrics.
  • Coordinating collaborations, cross-promotional opportunities, and influencer partnerships.
  • Building and maintaining community engagement across platforms.
  • Staying current on platform updates, trends, and new feature rollouts.
  • Coordinating with production teams and providing digital insights to inform productions.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • 2-4 years relevant experience working with all relevant social platforms.
  • Detailed working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Passion for creating impactful and sharable content.
  • YouTube Certified in Audience Growth and/or very familiar with best practices for SEO and discoverability.
  • Expert time and project management skills to handle multiple assignments and complete complex jobs under deadline pressure.
  • Strong ability to work in a fast-paced video production environment while maintaining production standards and efficiency.
  • Meticulous attention to quality, detail, and project organization.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially the ability to write in a clear, concise, professional manner.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.

Preferred Skills / Experience

  • Experience managing and growing YouTube channels.
  • Experience in Christian media or strong interest in faith-based storytelling.
  • Familiarity with TBN’s content, mission, and programming.
  • Production experience with ability to contribute to content development, creative direction, and storytelling.
