FM Talent Source is actively seeking a Supply Chain Manager for our valued customer, CORE Consulting. This is a full-time remote role focused on commodity sourcing, strategic procurement, supplier management, and long-lead equipment planning within the Energy sector.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a procurement and supply chain professional who combines strong analytical capabilities with hands-on experience managing sourcing initiatives from business need through supplier award and execution. The ideal candidate is proactive, solutions-oriented, and capable of driving results while partnering with stakeholders across multiple business functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement and sourcing activities for energy-related commodities, materials, equipment, and services.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives through the complete procurement lifecycle, including: 
  • Requirements gathering
  • Stakeholder alignment
  • Market analysis
  • Supplier identification and qualification
  • RFI/RFQ/RFP development and execution
  • Supplier evaluation and selection
  • Commercial negotiations
  • Contract execution
  • Supplier performance management
  • Manage long-lead equipment procurement activities to ensure alignment with project schedules and operational requirements.
  • Analyze supply markets, supplier capabilities, pricing trends, and procurement risks to support strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance.
  • Maintain and strengthen supplier relationships while supporting contract administration and compliance activities.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, and other stakeholders to forecast demand and mitigate supply risks.
  • Identifyopportunities for cost savings, supplier optimization, process improvement, and increased operational efficiency.
  • Provideprocurement insights, recommendations, and risk assessments to leadership teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of direct supply chain, procurement, or strategic sourcing experience.
  • Direct experience supporting procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations within the Energy sector.
  • Experience supporting one or more of the following: 
  • Renewable Energy
  • Utilities
  • Power Generation
  • Oil & Gas
  • Energy Storage
  • Energy Infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience managing sourcing initiatives through the complete procurement lifecycle.
  • Experience with supplier identification, qualification, evaluation, and performance management.
  • Experience leading or supporting RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes.
  • Experience negotiating supplier pricing, commercial terms, and contracts.
  • Experienceprocuringcommodities, equipment, materials, or services within a project-based environment.
  • Experience managing long-lead equipment procurement and delivery schedules.
  • Strong understanding of strategic sourcing methodologies and procurement best practices.
  • Experience analyzing supply markets, pricing trends, supplier performance, and procurement risks.
  • Ability to clearly articulate procurement strategies, sourcing decisions, and business outcomes.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing long-lead equipment procurement for energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience supporting capital projects, construction procurement, or energy infrastructure development.
  • Exposure toglobal sourcing strategies and distributed supplier networks.
  • Experience with procurement and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa, or similar systems.
  • Professional certification such as CPSM, CPSD, CSCP, CIPS, or equivalent.
  • Experience with supplier risk management programs.
  • Experience with category management and strategic sourcing initiatives.

Work Environment

  • 100% Remote
  • Must align with U.S. business hours

Direct Energy-sector procurement and sourcing experience is required. Candidates whose backgrounds are primarily in unrelated industries without demonstrated Energy-sector experience will not be considered.
