Job description

Clover is reinventing health insurance to keep people healthier.

We’re building a team of dedicated and passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences to help achieve Clover’s mission. From Engineering to Nursing, we aim to hire the best and brightest across a variety of disciplines. The Recruiting team partners with leaders throughout the organization to understand business objectives, develop strategic hiring plans and recruit exceptional talent.

We’re looking for an experienced and talented Clinical Recruiter to help grow Clover’s clinical organization. In this role, you will partner closely with clinical, operational and People leaders to attract and hire healthcare professionals who are passionate about improving the lives of our members.

Our ideal candidate has experience recruiting for clinical roles such as physicians, advanced practice providers, registered nurses, care managers, behavioral health professionals, pharmacists and other specialized healthcare positions. You combine strong recruiting fundamentals with curiosity, creativity and a willingness to use emerging technologies, including AI, to deliver better insights and outcomes for hiring teams.

As a Clinical Recruiter, you will:

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for a portfolio of clinical roles, from intake and sourcing through assessment, offer negotiation and closing.
  • Partner with clinical and operational leaders to understand workforce needs, define role requirements and develop effective job descriptions and hiring strategies.
  • Serve as a value-added talent advisor by bringing hiring managers market insights, pipeline data, sourcing recommendations and practical solutions to recruiting challenges.
  • Use AI-enabled recruiting tools thoughtfully to create talent-market maps, identify adjacent candidate populations, develop creative sourcing strategies, personalize candidate outreach and analyze pipeline trends.
  • Translate AI-generated insights into clear, actionable recommendations for hiring managers while reviewing outputs for accuracy, protecting candidate information and remaining alert to potential bias.
  • Develop proactive sourcing strategies to identify and engage passive clinical talent in competitive and specialized markets.
  • Build strong relationships with candidates and clearly communicate Clover’s mission, clinical model and employee value proposition.
  • Monitor candidate pipelines through Greenhouse and provide timely, data-driven updates to leadership and hiring teams.
  • Use recruiting data to identify pipeline gaps, process delays and conversion opportunities, and partner with stakeholders to implement solutions.
  • Advise hiring managers on talent availability, compensation expectations, geographic considerations, licensure requirements and other clinical labor-market trends.
  • Build and execute hiring initiatives designed to diversify clinical pipelines and promote equitable interview and selection practices.
  • Partner with credentialing, licensing, People Operations and clinical leadership to support a seamless transition from candidate acceptance through onboarding.
  • Provide an exceptional candidate experience that reflects the level of care we expect our clinical teams to provide to Clover members.
  • Improve the recruiting function by challenging the status quo, documenting repeatable processes and recommending meaningful solutions.
  • Contribute to recruiting projects across the broader People organization and help mentor or support junior recruiting team members.

You should get in touch with us if:

  • You have at least 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including significant experience recruiting clinical or healthcare professionals.
  • You have at least 2 years of in-house recruiting experience, preferably within a healthcare, health technology, managed care or rapidly growing organization.
  • You have a proven track record of sourcing, assessing, engaging and closing candidates with specialized or difficult-to-find clinical skill sets.
  • You understand the unique considerations involved in clinical recruiting, including licensure, credentialing, geographic availability and competitive healthcare labor markets.
  • You have experience partnering directly with clinical executives, operational leaders and hiring managers to develop and execute hiring plans.
  • You have used AI, automation or other recruiting technology to improve hiring outcomes and can provide specific examples, such as identifying a new talent pool, developing a creative sourcing strategy, improving candidate engagement, reducing administrative work or helping a hiring manager make a more informed talent decision.
  • You understand how to use AI responsibly, including protecting confidential information, validating outputs and recognizing the potential for bias.
  • You can manage multiple searches and projects simultaneously while maintaining clear communication and a high-quality candidate experience.
  • You are comfortable using recruiting metrics and dashboards to evaluate pipeline health, identify challenges and communicate progress.
  • You have experience using Google Workspace and an Applicant Tracking System; we use Greenhouse.
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment and can work autonomously with limited oversight.
