Job Location: 

This position is primarily remote; however, travel will be required, with an estimated travel commitment of approximately 35%.

Job Description:

Blake Willson Group is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Real Property Analyst to support federal audit readiness, property documentation, record reconciliation, and remediation efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and an interest in federal financial management and audit readiness. Internship, academic project, or other relevant experience in financial analysis, data management, auditing, compliance, or documentation is preferred. In this position, you will also:

  • Review and organize facility documentation, including photos, surveys, acquisition/disposal packets, and other supporting records.
  • Support validation, cleanup, and remediation activities to improve the accuracy and completeness of real property records.
  • Perform completeness checks to identify missing documentation, duplicate records, and inconsistencies within property data.
  • Assist with reconciling Automated Property System of Record (APSR) data and validating property information against supporting documentation.
  • Support State Assistance Visits (SAVs), onsite and virtual inspections, found-on-site checks, and completeness surveys through documentation collection and detailed note-taking.
  • Maintain remediation logs, status updates, and SAV report inputs to support audit tracking and reporting requirements.
  • Utilize tools such as Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, or similar platforms to track progress and support reporting activities.
  • Maintain organized documentation using established naming conventions and federal recordkeeping standards.
  • Coordinate with State personnel, facility managers, auditors, and internal teams to collect information and resolve documentation gaps.
  • Support high-volume travel requirements during Base Year State Assistance Visits.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6+ months of relevant experience through an internship, entry-level position, academic project, or similar experience involving financial analysis, data management, auditing, compliance, or documentation.

Desired Skills:

  • Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power BI, Power Apps, or SharePoint automation.
  • Prior internship or academic experience supporting audits, inventory checks, compliance reviews, quality assurance, or financial analysis.
  • Experience supporting federal government clients or familiarity with federal government operations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a willingness to learn and develop within a consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with detailed information, review records, identify discrepancies, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.

Your individual salary within this range will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to your education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
