The types of things you’ll do
Software Engineering is a broad area with an extensive opportunity space. Each intern will have their unique mission refined before the start date, after an offer is extended and accepted. Here are some of the value adds you’ll be working on:
• Collaborate with a dynamic and supportive team of backend and frontend engineers, product managers, designers, and DevOps engineers.
• Propose ideas, implement solutions, experiment, and launch features to First American’s users and customers.
• Influence engineers, teams, and product managers across the organization to shape the full product lifecycle.
• Maintain high standards in sustainable engineering by following best practices and delivering high-quality code, documentation, testing, and monitoring.
• Gain hands-on experience with technologies such as C#, TypeScript, Python, React, NestJS, SQL, NoSQL, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS services.
• Use industry-standard tools like GitHub, Slack, Jira, Confluence, and LaunchDarkly.
Basic Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree at an accredited university.
• Must be majoring in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems.
• Prior exposure to best practices through hackathons, design challenges, university projects, or previous internships.

Pay Range: $15.38 - $20.48 Hourly, RemoteThis hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
