Role Overview

ProAg has an exciting opportunity for a Regulatory Product Owner to join our team. You will look for new ways to disrupt the status quo, go to market faster, and optimize customer experiences to deliver value to agents and policyholders related to administration of USDA Risk Management Agency (RMA) Multi-peril Crop Insurance (MPCI), USDA RMA Livestock Programs and ProAg Private Insurance Products. As Product Owner, you will be at the forefront of our mission to create a more seamless and cohesive experience for our users making buying, selling, and servicing crop insurance easy.

In this Exciting Opportunity, You Will:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders during the development and initiatives of products and processes to ensure they align with the Business Vision.

  • Participate in the visioning for applications, products, and processes by defining the ‘What’ and the ‘Why’ and understanding alignment to the corporate goals and objectives.

  • Be responsible for understanding and interpreting all Risk Management Agency (RMA) and National Crop Insurance Service (NCIS) changes. This includes identifying application changes, business changes, and policy language changes which will affect business processes and customer workflows.

  • Define and create business epics, themes, and features based on the needs of the business, utilizing the Agile framework.

  • Within three months you will be able to identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to problems for our work processes.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned

What You Bring

  • Crop insurance industry experience required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, IT, or a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience.

  • Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company’s business to proactively respond to changing business environment.

  • Working knowledge of crop lifecycle, all system interfaces, and anticipate downstream affects to all customer segments and employees when changes are made.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.

Pay Transparency

The pay range for this position is $79,400 - $95,000 which includes geographic adjustments, where applicable. The pay range is the range THMCC, in good faith, believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The hired applicant will be offered pay within the entire range based on the candidate’s geographic location, qualifications, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
